Iyengar, who adapted everyday objects to make yoga’s benefits accessible to everyone. This approach uses the chair for better alignment, deeper stretches, and a safer, more effective practice for all ages and abilities.

This 7-day intensive program, offered monthly both online and in-person at Yoga with Srinatha, provides a deep and practical immersion into the art and science of Chair Yoga.
Module 1: The Chair Yoga Foundation
- Master a versatile toolkit of sequences to confidently address diverse needs, from boosting energy and promoting deep rest to supporting specific therapeutic goals.
- Learn the methodology of asanas, from foundational poses for beginners to intelligent progressions for advanced practitioners.
- Deepen your understanding of functional anatomy to safely guide yourself and others into and out of postures.
Module 2: The Art of Teaching & Adjustment
- Develop a keen eye for alignment. Learn hands-on and verbal adjustment techniques tailored to different body types, ages, and physical limitations.
- Acquire the skills to creatively adapt sequences for specific populations and environments, including corporate settings.
Module 3: Deepening the Practice
- For Residential Students:Integrate your practice with dedicated sessions in Pranayama (yogic breathing) and Meditation, harnessing the focused environment for deeper inner work.
- For All Students: Learn how to incorporate mindfulness and breath-awareness into every Chair Yoga class.
